Biografie
Liu Jian is a Chinese outdoor-sports journalist, born in 1962. He reached the summit of Everest from the north on 22 May 2003 with the Chinese amateur expedition sponsored by Sohu.
He had climbed the highest peaks of all 7 continents and walked to the North Pole by December 2005, when he reached the South Pole on foot with Wang Yongfeng and Ci Luo, among the first three Chinese to finish the "7+2", the 7 summits and both Poles. His newspaper sent him on that trek as its reporter.
