Biografie
Mike Mulrooney, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia, worked for some 16 years in the energy sector in Europe and paid for his climbs himself, deliberately avoiding sponsors and charity appeals. He began the 7 summits on Elbrus, took on a coach at the end of 2015 and climbed Vinson soon afterwards, then Denali in 2016, Aconcagua and Carstensz Pyramid. He reached the summit of Everest on 16 May 2019, aged 42, as the last of his 7 summits (the first Nova Scotian to complete them) and climbed Lhotse two days later.
