Biografie

Silvio Mondinelli is an Italian mountain guide from Alagna Valsesia, born on 24 June 1958. In 2007 he became the 13th person to climb all 14 eight-thousanders, without supplemental oxygen.

He climbed the continental summits between 1979 and 2011, reaching the top of Everest on 23 May 2001, and finished on Vinson in 2011; he is described as the first to complete both the 14 eight-thousanders and the 7 summits.
